Jerimandering…

You know I don’t even know if this is spelled right or fully understand the concept.  Probably most Americans don’t either.  It has something to do with rigging the votes so those with the most influence get their way.  Gee, I thought our country wasn’t born and made to be that way.

I just googled this and I’ve spelled it wrong.  Here’s the definition.

ger·ry·man·der

Dictionary result for gerrymander

/ˈjerēˌmandər/
verb
gerund or present participle: gerrymandering
  1. manipulate the boundaries of (an electoral constituency) so as to favor one party or class.
    • achieve (a result) by manipulating the boundaries of an electoral constituency.
“a total freedom to gerrymander the results they want”

    What do you think?

No one will ever read this, however, it needs to be said.  I wish I could do more to get out the word.   It’s Kathleen with a few thoughts and it’s still Kathleen if you disagree…let’s have a conversation.
