After Judas’ betrayal Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, interrogated and sentenced to death.

He carried a cross through the streets of Via Dolorosa, (translated Way of Suffering), in Jerusalem,

and was nailed to a cross at 9 a.m.

There he hung until his death at 3 p.m., and

was removed from the cross.

Joseph of Arimathea, a follower of Jesus, requested and obtained permission for Jesus’ body. He placed Jesus’ body in a tomb.
