Melinda Gates

Melinda Gates is an American businesswoman and philanthropist. In 2000, she co-founded with her husband, Bill Gates, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As of 2015, this is the largest philanthropic organization in the world. The couple have dedicated their lives to giving away their wealth.

In their annual newsletter Melinda is listed as co-chair of the Foundation helping to shape and approve the Foundation’s strategy. She works tirelessly for women’s causes to improve equity for all in the United States and around the world. The author of the book, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World, tells all with it’s title.

Melinda hold a Bachelors Degree in computer science and economics from Duke University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business.

Audra McDonald

This California girl is the only individual to have won 6 Tony Awards wining in all 4 categories. Trained as a classical soprano at the Juilliard School in New York City she has worked in opera, stage, screen, and movie roles. She also has an active recording and concert career with her multi-dimensional talents.

Currently you can see Audra on The Good Fight, (CBS All Access), as Liz Lawrence, a partner at the Reddick, Boseman, and Lockhart law firm.

Jean Liu

This woman at 41 is the President of Didi Chuxing, which is the largest ride share venue in China. Didi did 1.4 billion rides across 400 Chinese cities this past year and is valued at $500 billion. It is considered the most valuable start up in the world.

Ms. Liu is a graduate of Peking University and holds a Masters of Science from Harvard. She began her career at Goldman Sachs Asia where she worked for 12 years before taking the leap to Didi. She is committed to having more females in the workplace and as of 2017 Didi’s work force is 37% female in their tech positions.

She is married with 3 children and in a recent interview on Bloomberg television discussed how she talks shop with her children and is a hands on mom. Wow! I’m tired just writing about all she does.

Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Elizabeth II has served 65 years on the throne making her the longest serving monarch in history. While not officially involved in political matters she does receive weekly meetings with the British Prime Minister. There have been 13 during her reign.

Some interesting facts:

  • During WWII she worked as a mechanic and military truck driver.
  • In February 1952 she ascended the throne at 25 after the early demise of her father.
  • The Queen’s husband is Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, a descendant of Greek and Danish royalty. They have been married for over 70 years. She met him at 13 and it was love at first site.
  • The Queen has 4 children and 8 grandchildren.

American Soldiers as Bounty!

At least we don’t need a bounty for him, the corona virus will get him.
