Mr. Harn was a University of Florida graduate, and upon return from military service established a popular restaurant in the area. He was highly respected in the area, and involved in community endeavors. He donated much to the University upon his demise.

Paintings…
Many famous painters spent time in Florida. In View of the St John’s River, William Morris Hunt captures the beauty of the River.
Mary Eliza’s Cabin, by Marguerite Zorach, depicts Florida in 1955.
The Castillo de San Marcos, 1885, by Louis Comfort Tiffany. While known for glass Tiffany was also an accomplished painter and he and his wife wintered in St. Augustine. In Golden Sunset, George Inness, paints Tarpon Springs, Florida’s Gulf Coast. It was here he wintered traveling by train from Montclair, New Jersey.
