The Limelight is the community theatre in St. Augustine. This evening’s play was Big Fish, and as the play bill states, it is a musical about traveling salesman, Edward Bloom, whose larger than life stories thrill all except his son. It was a fun romp with good acting.
Here are the other selections for their 31st season:
Holiday Hallelujah – December 3rd and 4th at the Flagler College Lewis Auditorium. This date also coincides with the St. Augustine Holiday House Tour, a phenomenal event which returns after its pandemic absence. Folks come from as far away as Kentucky to see these homes, bed and breakfasts decorated in their holiday finery.
Oleanna – January 13-29 – A college student levels a sexual harassment allegation against her professor. Am sure this will provide much intrigue
The Diviners – February 24-March 19 – young men afraid of water and their reckoning.
Over the River and Through the Woods -April 7-30 – Jersey man announces he is moving away from his big Italian family and the schemes they present to keep him in Jersey. A must see for me! Too funny.
Little Miss Sunshine – May 12-June 4 – the hilarious trials to win the Little Miss Sunshine beauty pageant.
All My Sons – June 23-July 9 – drama of two wartime business partners.
Hands on a Hardbody – August 11- September 3 – a story of down on their luck Texans with big dreams.
