Today we had the option of a Pom Meet or visiting the FDR Mansion in Hyde Park, and sorry Franklin you lost. My daughter and now official son-in-law Greg have had Rocco, the Pomeranian, who thinks he is a German Shepard for 15 months now. Rocco, has been a bit of a trial, but a love despite his many escapades.
In his first week of arrival he fell from his carrier and broke all 4 paw bones of his foot. My hysterical daughter called and I thought her best friend died. After 6 weeks Rocco was all cured and my daughter 10 grand poorer.

July 2022 – While my daughter sat on the couch Rocco heard a dog outside. He ran to the porch of their 3rd floor flat, and jumped over the chicken wire covered fencing and landed in a patch of grass, no injuries this time. However, the Russian woman who saw the flight will never be the same. Thus his code name – Flying Rocco..

In December as we were to leave for Newport, RI, silly me left my suitcase open on the floor. Rocco broke into my vitamin bags and consumed several vitamin bags which included tumeric. In checking the internet vitamin information a decision was made he would be okay however for the next week he had colorful poo and doubt if he’ll ever have arthritis with that mega dose..

Rocco has been quiet lately, however, his latest feat was ring bearer for his parent’s wedding of which he executed grace and agility, but on a leash.

The tail end of Rocco socializing before arrival at the altar. At least he didn’t pee on anyone..

Job well done – rings delivered.
So now that you’ve met Rocco, enter the Pom Meet…. It was a quiet day in Central Park till Rocco arrived. All the Poms were being held, cuddled, and nurtured until his arrival. Henceforth, with the Rocco arrival all that changed with much lively barking, ball throwing, and attempts made to steal crackers from the classy Manhattan lady with 3 Poms from Europe who has them groomed every 6 weeks. ?Can you imagine what that costs?? Then triple that number as this is Manhattan.. I digress.
Met folks on the subway who were going to the Pom Meet Up..

This white Pom was from Korea.
We even had a famous, (or infamous), Pom owner at the event. Bridgett Everett, who is a comedian, and friend of Jerry Seinfeld in attendance in yellow shoes. My daughter wouldn’t allow me to talk to her – wise advice as I have a foot in mouth disease..

I also liked Bridgett’s carrier. So many great ones with one gal having something attached to her motorcycle which was the best. Sorry can’t find that picture but you can imagine…. Pom-love.

Yes, this has a ventilation system in it..
More Fun Photos..

And last but not least a group pic..

What a Pom-tastic Event!
