Returned to the cabin finding most of my electrical work completed, however, more is required to keep the place code compliant and safe.
Seems like Iโve underestimated all which needs to be accomplished.

Made calls to the carpenter, blow in insulation man, well driller, plumber, and building inspector. WHEW! At least Iโm getting call backs. Just hope my pocketbook can keep up!
๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฐ
Look forward to seeing what the well man has to say as all is contingent on this.
?Maybe there is a book ๐ in all this or better yet a movie?
Started my day by picking up food to take home. 86th St. Brooklyn has a wealth of wonderful Chinese restaurants and baked goods. I bought a rolling bag to bring home the goodies.
And I did a preliminary pack today. Itโs all going to fit!
Hereโs some places to check out, plus the 86th street bakery near 20th ave cross street, and the $10 pizza ๐ place across from TD Bank. Enjoy.. Youโll be hunting for a scrolling bag, too.
Hint: They are at every store on 86th.
Great๐ extraordinary AmazingCoconut Cream Buns – better than sex
Next was time for a haircut..
Great job!
While in the chair received a text that the buyer for the fl. condo backed out. Oh well..
But next call came from Rob, my cabin electrician, saying I have heated floors with propane, and a new propane hot water heater so guess thatโs positive.
Post haircut boarded the D train and on to the best Cuban sandwich in the world ๐ on 46th street in Manhattan, Margone. Been around over 50 years. For $20 got a Cuban, a beer, and still had some $ toward a tip.

On to Central Park after this feast to walk off the calories..
Spring is in bloom.Everyone was out enjoying this glorious Spring day.And some of our NYS Dutch Heritage. Tulips were in bloom.More colorImagine
And the finale, the Alicia Keyes play,
Hellโs Kitchen.
A must see
While still in previews think they have it down. It is the story of a single mom raising her teenage daughter in the NYC projects. The music, dance, and story line is a phenomenal experience.
Hats off to Alicia Keys, our native New Yorker, who brought this to light.
She certainly has a winner on her hands and possibly a Tony!
Started my day early as I was unsure of how to locate the Players Theater on Mac Dougal Street in the Washington Square area. After several navigation errors ended up early in the vicinity.
Had time to check out the nearby park.
Spring has arrived Washington Square๐ถ in the park New Yorkers love their dogs.Daffodils
After my treat seeing the Park was off to the play. Quite an interesting marquise and box office..
Street ViewThe Box Office
Sat in front of Ella, the birthday girl, and 4 of her friends who loudly proclaimed when I sat,โMom, an adult is blocking our view!โ I moved but was returned to my aisle but another seat to accommodate the birthday girl. Ha! Ha! Guess Iโm getting my indoctrination into grandmother hood.
Cinderella and her evil stepsisters
Happy Ending
Next Venture
Walked from 15th to 42nd St on this glorious spring NYC day. Found another bountiful park on the way with magnolia trees.
Breathtaking
Then stopped for an hour long foot massage.
What a sweet smile, but sadly spoke no English.Great place, newly opened $35/ hour.
And on to the show..
Five, at the 555 West 42nd Theater, was a parody on the 3 wives and 2 other gals (Stormy and Ivana),in the rapist prezโs life. There also was a special appearance by Hillary.
The dancing and singing ๐ต was amazing but sadly the show will be closing 4/20. What a phenomenal ensemble cast, and only $43. for the seat..
The final destination for the day was Theater XIV, Queen of Hearts, a burlesque show.
Unbelievable

What a way to end a perfect day!
Have to get tickets for my daughter and son in law.
Kissed the โkidsโ goodbye as they headed north to catch the eclipse in the Central New York region. After that began my day heading for Times Square. Arrived early for my first event so took in several sites of the area.
Great cupcakes etc..Carlo, understand he visits on weekends H &M what a beautiful storeLoved the dress but $70., really?!Local talent
From here it was off to the play which was,
Appropriate
Enjoyed the performance but only attended as wanted to see Corey Stoll, as I have adored his work in Billions, and House of Cards. The story line was about a dysfunctional family who are brought together after the demise of their last remaining parent. Was 2 1/2 hours long with reasonable tickets, but doubtful it will last long on Broadway, and my recommendation is to skip it.
Next to the car ๐ show..
Location of the showGreat venue for this event
Really enjoyed this, and it can only be expressed visually. Following are some pics, and probably too many unless you are a car enthusiast. No longer do scantily clad sexy gals lay on the cars, so that was promising.
There was much emphasis on EVs and you know my lament with those creatures. And several recruiters were present at the show from NYS Corrections/State. Police, NYPD, as well as the Fire Department, and even the Marines. The numbers applying are dropping dramatically for these positions. We need immigrants to fill jobs..
The pictures
RecruitersThe MarinesAntique Buses and Electric Buses were on display. An electric street cleanerMore antique beauties And some new evโs.. Asked cost but officers unaware.New EV that gets 480 miles per charge, encouraging..And for a laugh
From 35th and 11th Ave walked 2 miles to my next event, the 9pm performance of Titanique which was a recommendation of my son in law.
Since I have never seen Titanic, yes I am the only one in the world, I didnโt get much from this parody, however, the cast was stellar. It was a hilarious romp which caused most of the millennials and generation X present in the audience to howl with laughter. Have noted more and more of the 20 to 40 age range taking in theater, and believe this a good sign.

Want to close with this lovely cherry blossom pic from Union Square this evening.
Attended Suffs, the story of the suffragette movement co-produced by Hillary Clinton. It was a packed house at Music Box Theater and a riveting 2 1/2 hour performance of phenomenal acting and ๐ต singing. The play has been extended if you are in the area.
Got my tickets through the Today Tix AP for the bargain price of $77. No compensation received, but check it out as it has fair pricing, and even discloses fees that are included in the ticket price.
We were in the last row balcony and the view. โ shall we say priceless.๐ธ
Me and Jeanie in our hats.
Saw Hillary on Fallon promoting the show and she brought him a ๐ as the suffragettes were known for them. Thought this was an audience thing so made 2 for my daughter and I to wear. Well, we were the only ones in the theater wearing hats but she was a sport and wore it through the show. ๐
Learned much of the movementโs history from the play. Didnโt realize how much President Woodrow Wilson blocked the womenโs movement. He even had the suffragettes jailed.
๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค
It also told of the differences in the movement between the conservative and radical gals as well as how black women were de marginalized. An honest portrayal.

But back to Woody, interesting fact,,, he acquired the Spanish Flu and was incapacitated the last year(s) of his presidency. He had a stroke as well as other sequelae. His wife, Edith, refused to have anyone see him. She ran the country, and when World ๐ War I, ended they contacted her first to report this ๐ news.
Not like our Joe whose favorite line is,
โNever underestimate the power of a woman.โ
Thanks to all those women who devoted their lives to this movement.
Letโs honor their memories, and not vote for a rapist who bars female health care.
to Brooklyn to see my daughter and enjoy several plays. Started the day at 415 waking for the 605 bus to NYC. I noted it was snowing ๐จ๏ธ gently as I refilled the kerosene heater on the porch. Canโt fill the heater inside in case of spill as the smell ๐ strong.
Cabin 101 lesson.
This and several other things were shared by my electrician, Rob, who loaned me the item. He will arrive Monday for the cabinโs electrical overhaul, and the carpenter is beginning closet construction today, with new windows due in 3 weeks!
Weโre moving along.
The stars โญ๏ธ are in alignment.
Yeratel
Iโve named the cabin Yeratel for the guardian angel of my birth day.
Fun fact: We all have guardian angels according to our birth day. Find your angel.
Back to the trip..
Route 17 to New York City
Took the Coach USA line out of Monticello Short Line Station ๐ with a chipper driver. Donโt you just love friendly morning people! Well, I do. ๐
The ride was a quick 2 hours for only $60 round trip, senior rate. Got to see several small towns during the drive, and grateful to leave the drive to someone else
Next adventure- evening performance of Suffs, the play co-produced by Hillary Clinton about the suffragette movement.
Last night heard much noise around the cabin. Since I couldnโt see out the windows decided to lock the doors and hunker down. I quickly fell back to sleep ๐ค .
And look what I found as I opened the bedroom drapes.
This isnโt a delayed April Fools joke!
So excited I walked around the cabin for more pictures. Enjoy..
I feel like Iโm in Switzerland The BackyardDianaGina got covered as well.
And guess I had some visitors.

Good day to sit by the fire.
Feels great ๐
and do a little sewing with a cup of tea,
and read a good book..
960 pages – think Iโll need a renewal on this one.
Heard from the realtor on Sunday that I had an offer on the condo. While it was $43,000. less* than my initial price I was grateful. The contract seemed aboveboard but waited till Tuesday to sign just in case.
๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค
Since my cabin had no internet access went to the friendly local library to complete the contract. The angst of fl life is over with an April 30th closing, my late fatherโs birthday.
Later the electrician who will be doing the cabinโs overhaul appeared to pick up the down payment for the job. Noting the cabin chill he appeared an hour later with a kerosene heater!
What a jewel ๐ of guy, and the bonus is heโs a democrat!!
My electrician is a Joe endorser..
He is one of those older men that are going to carry Biden over the top as Joe Scarborough states.
After this the cable guy appeared, and while a bit of a curmudgeon I have internet access.
The rest of the day was spent trying to figure out how to use a drill to put up curtains, of which I was unsuccessful. Why did I ever have to take home economics in high school? What a waste!
Luckily, the previous owner left the rod hardware in place so bought cheapie rods and now have drapes covering the windows with a warmer night to come.
๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก
Also did much retail damage with Amazon. Isnโt Amazon wonderful? Today I bought everything from lamps to lampshades to reclining chairs, and all we be here in a week!
A shout out to Bezo, always a fan but remember who is #1.

*Did you see the rapist prez truth social stock tumbled? I guess we both lost big this week, only difference..
Iโm not taking the same path as tr..
As in typical trumpian fashion what does he do?
he sues.
Then the next news.. who posted the $175. million? An 80 year old guy who made his $7 billion fortune in the repossession trade. Maybe he can repo the rapist prez?
After all the $175 million is pocket change considering how he probably scored when tr changed the tax laws for millionaires. Payback is a bitch and am sure tr called in his cards on this one with the Hankey-panky guy. Wonder what Hankey will repo from the rapist when he looses?
