Tonight attended this social where a plaque honoring the era was unveiled.

The Concord was the main hotel of the area. At this hotel many prominents performed. Here’s a few, can you recognize them?

After the unveiling and speeches there were 200 slides of the era to take in. Martin Luther King made his last public speech to a rabbinical conference 10 days before his assination here.

What an era and fascinating history.

Today visited the Bethel Arts Center prior to all the excitement. They had free entertainment by local talent for volunteers.

The first group played African music. Since it was loud decided to walk about the area as the music could be heard throughout the area.

So looks like my weekend is booked with a drag brunch, another daughter visit, and Roger Daltrey.

Nice to have the cabin upgrades done.. Last night assembled 2 dressers for the bedroom. How easy and reasonable- only $40., lightweight, and an hour for assembly!!!

What fun this was! Can’t wait till my bathroom cabinet and outdoor storage chest arrives.

Was inspired by Cory Booker’s chat with Stephen Colbert last night. Need his vision now. Ten years ago when he first ran for Senate I woke at 4 a.m. to be at the polls before 6 to ensure I could vote for the man. I am pleased to report I have a completed bedroom with even a Childe Hassam poster on the wall.

Since the bedroom is 8 x 8 decided to forego a closet and went with a wall approach. New narrow dressers are arriving from Amazon this week. Yes! Can’t wait.😀 Am so excited to have a bedroom and a bed.

Since I start work next Monday wanted to have all these rooms done so I busted my a-s to finish the paneling in the bathroom.

Both these rooms have 2 inch panel insulation, (R 13.5), glued and bolted to the walls with paneling glued to the glued panel insulation.

And while I was able to handle the oscillating saw for the most part I got an F in perfection.

So the paneling is hung with gobs of white Gorilla Duct Tape and liquid nails. It is a bit of a cob job but had to do something when you can’t find folks to do the work.

Back on friendly soil, and picked up from La Guardia by my daughter and son in law. The following morning we drove to Sullivan County where I completed paperwork for my new job which I begin on the 17th.
