Been Busy

..and now I ache. Have to remember I am 68 though I tend to think I am 25. 🎂. It’s funny now when I do too much the bones of my hand 🤚 move and I have to reset them.

Ever have that happen to you?

Well, here’s an update via video to show all I did. It 👀 looks great if I must say so myself.

Look 👀 for..,

  • Gravel in the driveway
  • Dirt surrounding the garage an in the silver containers.
  • Also moved my potting station into the garage.
  • Put up posters on the garage.
Updates to the cabin.

Enjoy!

Interesting Facts

Always knew the North pays for the south but what an eye 👁️ opener this was…

Here are some facts you won’t hear on Fox News today:

👊 71% of America’s GDP comes from blue counties. We’re the economic engine of the USA.

🇺🇸 In Florida and Texas, they tax their poorest more than we tax our richest in California. And speaking of Texas, Texas takes $71.1 billion of federal money from taxpayers, California gives $81.3 billion. We’re subsidizing red states while they promote tax cuts for billionaires and cut basic programs like free school lunch.

🔥 18% of the world’s research and development is happening in California. We have more scientists, engineers and Nobel laureates than any other state. No other state comes close.

Guess this isn’t broadcast on 🦊..

Garage Work

Been working on the rock wall under the garage. Am using the rocks as skirting.

Coming along..
Looking 👀 good..

Will be placing elevated flower 🌺 beds on each side of the garage with 🪨 rocks surrounding the beds. Might as well use what I have on the property.

And the best thing, it’s free!

And much to my amazement found these sweet things poking their heads up!

Welcome Spring

Back to Work

And it is horrific as usual but seeing this pic made my day.

Joe and Jill at Othello

So glad to see them back and out smiling.

Ticket prices are exorbitant and to snag one if not two of these is a prize.

Funny — he didn’t attend George Clooney’s performance down the street. Guess he knows who his friends are.

Now the real reason for the visit..

St Joseph Oratory.

St Joseph had a perfect feast day weather wise. Since my last visit 5 years ago many upgrades and renovations have occurred.

The Carillon played at 12 and 3 during my visit. There is a new cafeteria and gift shop as well as museum.
This is a diorama of Brother Andre, now St. Andre, working at his oratory office.

And this is the humble abode he lived at while working to create the Oratory.

And he lived over the store so to speak in a room over the altar.

His lodgings..

What humility.

Brother Andre worked tirelessly to achieve the funds to build the Oratory traveling 🧳 the 🌍 world for this endeavor.

St. Andre

His beginnings were from a large farm family with many trials. He was not an educated man, and tried several times before being allowed in to the Brotherhood.

One of the St. Joseph altars at the Oratory.

Brother Andre was the doorman at the ministry for decades before his healing powers were recognized. But during all this time his devotion to St Joseph never strayed.

His life is an amazing story of faith and devotion.

The side view of the Oratory.

If ever in Montreal, take the time to stop regardless of your religious affiliation it will impact you.

The room of candles

Cafe Lulu

While Waze is usually extraordinary in finding places today it sent me in circles. And since I’ve begun to read Marianne Williamson, again, who states everything is for a reason, I gather the reason was to see the city. And that I did.

The architecture is sublime..
Almost reminds you of New Orleans.
Royal
Humor me, and endure one more photo..

Then there are the billboards..

Pride and Prejudice- oh la la!!💋

And more art..

Note: Someone still has telephone 📞 booths and they also have flush toilets!
Subway Art
Street Art

And in my travels also found a favorite of mine.,

Wonderful stuff – not much for $1.25 but great finds.

And finally after almost 2 hours..

Cafe Lulu. 852 Rue Saint Catherine – use the addy to find.

What a delightful owner, and a great find! The breakfast was perfect and try the maple 🍁 cookies.. Yum…

Veggie Omelette
Enjoy!

Onward…

Unsure if you’ve ever been to the Canadian border but after the inspection the drive is about 90 minutes of flat, barren land. That’s all there is — farmlands, and large electrical structures.

🗳️⚡️💡🔌🗳️⚡️💡🔌

But once you hit Montreal it is like you’ve crossed the pond and are in the EU. In fact the folks there always appear more French than the Parisian’s.

Driving in came across many beautiful art forms and graphics. Enjoy…

Interesting
Definitely a message here
Someone is looking at their boobs.
Their very modern post office.🏤

Found the bus 🚌 station immaculate, and modern. Boy, on the way north we stopped at the Albany Greyhound station and they need to light a match to that one. No change in 60 years.

Shame on you Mayor Kathy Sheehan!

Back to Montreal..

While the area outside had the usual city crew of homeless, panhandlers, and litter which comes with City life, it was a lovely find. There was much vibrancy and building going on about the bus station.

Some bus station pics…

Now that I’ve landed time it’s time to feed the soul. Auntie Google says Cafe Lulu has a delicious so am on my way…

St. Joseph Day

Today is St. Joseph’s Feast Day, and since he is known to be the Patron Saint for single women he is my guy.

Look 👀 what he did for Mary!

This is the Novena Prayer that never fails. Say it for 9 days before 11am. I always give a donation to a Saint Joseph church ⛪️ or organization after my request is answered then do a 9 day novena of thanks…

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

I digress..

So after building rock skirting around the base of the garage on Tuesday I caught the 6pm Coachline out of Monticello connecting with a 1201 Greyhound for Montreal.

🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌

It was a quick trip and I even slept on the ride. Bought myself a can of Stella and drank it in the Port Authority before the ride.

🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Between the beer 🍻 and building rock walls all day guess the body was ready to collapse!

👮👮👮‍♀️👮‍♂️👮👮‍♀️👮‍♂️

At 6 am we arrived at the Canadian border and quite frankly I was scared. Five years ago I was questioned and detained until an older female officer verified my story.

❓⁉️❓⁉️❓❓⁉️

I had Florida plates and drivers license, was doing travel nursing in New York State, and was on my way to a retreat at St Joseph’s Oratory. My lodgings were at the Oratory. Sounded okay to me, but, the officers 👮‍♀️ didn’t buy it.

Well, after the older female officer vouched for me they let me in.

WHEW!

To be continued…

New Addition

Been busy birthing my new baby, was a long incubation of 6 months from November purchase to arrival but what a beauty. Amish crafted from PA.

Arrival

She’s spacious..

Next step will be the skirting around the garage so no critters make a home underneath, then a ramp for Gina to climb in.
She needs a name.
Any ideas?

brian glenn

Ever wonder who the disgusting reporter was that asked Zelensky why he doesn’t wear a suit? It was brian glenn, the boyfriend of marjorie taylor red. He was planted there to insult Zelensky. And who thought the rapist prez couldn’t go any lower to insult a man who has more courage in his pinky toe than the rapist in his entire family?

Today the brian glenn question was to the Irish Prime Minister asking why he let Rosie O’Donnell move to his country. Just when you think it couldn’t go any lower.. Let’s hope Rosie is safe there and they don’t kick her out of Ireland fearing the rapist’s retribution.

I wonder if the rapist prez knows Ellen DeGeneres moved to England.
