My favorite show is CBS Sunday Morning. It remains the most uplifting part of my week. I pay $129 a year for Paramount Plus so I can view this at any time as with my night job it’s difficult to catch it on 9am Sunday morns.
This week they discussed a chimp sanctuary the government has for all those chimps who participated in government research. It costs $25 grand per chimp a year which is a lot of bananas, but for what they’ve done for us it is a pitence.
Let’s hope musk doesn’t look at CBS Sunday Mornings.
About $34,000. in my Roth – how about you? So much doom and gloom with this administration. While I know we don’t take enough in from our taxes there is such a simple fix. We all need to pay our fair share. It’s almost like the Golden Rule – Do onto others.. Now, even those bible toting red states should understand that one.
Can’t wait to get a copy of her new book. She has much to say about the world, her life now, and her former life, and as always she does this with grace. For over 30 years she has been advocating for women and continues in this role. At 60, this new chapter of her life is promising for all of us old dames, including myself, who often struggle with where do we go next?
McConnell’s recently opposed tr-era nominees. He voted against figures like Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
A little late Mitch, but it’s the thought that counts?
Seems like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have teamed up to tour the red states of the US and are attracting wild volumes of crowds. With 30.000 in Folsom, 12,000 in Idaho, and 20,000 in Utah, this is nothing to give a blind eye to. Next is Montana- am wondering if there are plans to go below the Mason Dixon Line?? That should be a real interesting tour. Wish I could join them.
Thank you, Folsom!
In a city of 85,000, in a Republican county, more than 30,000 people came out on a Tuesday night.
As I watched this process it made me think of a body being exhumed. Never thought I’d see these tanks again, and now they sit on my lot in full view from my bedroom window.
And what a site.
I had such excitement thinking water would be coming from these gals then I learned:
The tanks can only be used for non potable water.
The plastic from the tanks can lead to cancer.
The tanks had started to collapse from the pressure of the earth as they were not designed for the purpose they were being used.

So, the plumber reinstalled the water line to the seasonal water. Thankfully he did not have to tear up the street. And the excavator drained and unearthed the tanks then filled the hole. They also moved boulders and removed 3 stumps which were in the way of the well drilling.
Now I have seasonal water and hopefully the well guy will do the well. I had told him I was going with someone else.
Talk about eating 🐦⬛.
No word from the well guy yet so unsure if he’ll take me back.
Love this picture. Very restful to see after a chaotic night working with fellow nurses. I believe I’ve discussed in the past how nurses are not as angelic as they’d like you to believe. Granted it’s a tough job, but they tend to make it worse when they get stuck in having it their own way, and oh behind that smile is something evil.
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Even Deadly.
When I was a young nurse we used to say old nurses eat the young, and now as an old nurse the opposite has happened. Can’t win.
🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
To add to the angst I had the plumber come to give me an estimate on fixing the tanks and water lines after work.
Haven’t had water since early January. Going to the brook for water to flush the toilet and do dishes has been challenging.
💦💦💦💦💦💦
The plumbers estimate was $5000. for the water line, and another $4000. for the tank repair. I am waiting for the estimate on the well which I’m told may be $25000.
As of the 2nd day in this “tariff war” have lost $30,000., with more red to follow. Opening my Roth statement used to remind me of a Christmas tree with a splattering of red and green but now it only reminds me of the melanie white house christmas decorations.
Remember when the illegal alien first lady decorated the white house in red for christmas?
Where I work all the professional staff voted for melanie’s husband, however, they are in the late 20 to mid 40 range. They will have ample time to recoup their retirement monies, but where does that leave me and other seniors? We don’t have the luxury of time to recoup. And as the “war” continues the growing hate for America snowballs, soon causing the entire planet’s economics to be in the toilet.
