Once again, I had the pure delight of attending Jacob‘s Pillow.. It was a stunning sunny day with a cool breeze as I enjoyed the Sarasota ballet. There also was an interesting pre-talk from a professor at Williams College.

Then there are the studios if those walls could talk.

And an outside training area to view.

What a beautiful and serene complex, Jacob pillow holds. If in the area and not interested in dance, just visit and walk the grounds, have something at the many food venues or sit on a picnic bench with a your own picnic basket. What a fun treat!

Here for 3 days, and it’s off to an amazing start! After unpacking at the lovely and reasonable hotel in Lee, The Pilgrim Inn, I began my visit.

Had a waffle cone of raspberry chocolate chip ice cream for $5. Priceless…

And now for some retail damage at Lee Outlets.

What a perfect day.

My daughter is now 18 weeks pregnant so she is officially half way. The baby is the size of a cucumber 🥒. We have moved forward from a 🍑 peach to an avocado 🥑to cucumber status.

Wonder if head of lettuce 🥬 is next?

Interesting the comparison from 🍉 and vegetables 🥕 to a baby’s growth.

I have yet to go to a sonogram where these values are calculated and fruits and vegetables assigned but am due and will soon.

As this growth continues I wonder how the granddog will be with the coming birth. This addition to the house will certainly change his role and wonder if his CEO status is in jeopardy or if they can both share the designation.

Time will tell.



Attended Young Frankenstein at the Wednesday matinee at Forestburg Playhouse today, but before that had quite an adventure, adding three 8 foot Colorado spruce pine trees in front of the cabin.

Have given up on putting in flowers as the deer eat them all, and planting with the never ending rocks is nearly impossible.

So $900 later I now have some nice landscape in the front of the cabin.

Let’s hope it makes the place more marketable.

And onto the show..

Young Frankenstein was the best show yet at Forestburgh. The singing 🎵, dancing 💃,and humor of this play was something I never expected! What an amazing cast. And to think I almost skipped it!

If this play ever comes to your town it is a must see. We all need this kind of fun to boost our spirits in these troubling times.

Every day it gets scarier. As I listened to NPR the commentator in LA said he 👀 looked out the studio window and saw the city park loaded with tanks and other military equipment and fully equipped military personnel.

He was terrified and should be.

Just when you think all is done something else comes up! Whoever thought I’d need a house or cabinet for my hot water heater and well electric to keep them warm and avoid frozen pipes..

If the place doesn’t go by winter this is a necessity to avoid frozen pipes. And I certainly don’t want treks to the stream like I had for 4 months last year. No more pioneer woman adventures for me!

Received estimates from 975 to $1500, however, no one could tell me they were actually going to do. So I went on the Internet and came up with a plan then spent three dollars on craigslist to find a workman.

I was amazed at the amount of texts I received for the job, however, I wondered if many of these folks had drug and alcohol problems and we’re going to scam me.

Finally, I decided upon a young couple, and they charged $300 inclusive of hardware change on the crawlspace doors. So for 575 the job was done, and it appears that it will work.

So let’s hope there is a pot of gold at the end of this projects rainbow.

One wonders if he is contemplating a run for president, especially since Kamala’s husband returned to the West Coast for employment. Perhaps she is wanting to sit out this cycle and run for Governor? But returning to Gavin, in a recent email he praises all Cali’s have going for them in comparison to South Carolina. Quite an agenda, take a look..

California has:

– lower taxes for working families
– lower maternal mortality rates
– higher GDP
– higher wages
– higher life expectancy
– free pre-kindergarten
– free community college
– free school meals
– And total domination in every major industry.
