πŸ’¦

Think I don’t need to say the word in the title of this blog. Started searching the internet for help in getting water installed into the cabin.

Winter is fast approaching..

Found a guy in Pa. who sounded promising but then in my haste of texting all the folks I know my πŸ˜‡ of a female electrician, Pia, came through with a name.!!

And believe it or not he lives down the street, a tenth of a mile from me.

πŸͺ πŸͺ πŸͺ πŸͺ

Have already met and had Nico investigate the site. $1600. worth of plumbing hooks, knobs, wires, and pvc pipes have been purchased. We are ready to go for Saturday and 🀞this will be accomplished.

I am now on my thank you Novena to St. Joseph, and he never lets me down. He’s my go to guy with almost every crisis I get myself in.

St. Joseph always liked us single chicks- remember what he did for Mary??

And while organized religion is long gone for me, I still believe in the power of prayer. So here’s a shout out advertisement for

St. Joseph

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen.

Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire. It has seldom been known to fail.

Then when he comes through give a donation to:

St Joseph Oratory

3800 Queen Mary Road MontrΓ©al (Quebec) Canada, H3V 1H6 Telephone : 514 733-8211

So the saga continues and of course will keep you posted..

Return to Reality

Returned from my idyllic 36 hour, 3 play jaunt in the Big 🍎 to a frenetic night at the psych unit. Also in my return found the water πŸ’¦ still not hooked into the cabin.

Then when my fellow nurse returned from break with the following news my β™₯️ sank even deeper.

My Contractor

Guess there was a reason for his constant gaslighting and other misadventures.

But now I am still without πŸ’¦ and winter fast approaching.. He has $50,000. of my money and completed $30 of the work.

Glad I have the psych unit, and my health as it looks like I’m going to be working a long time.

I always said I wanted to work as long as possible, retire and die the next day.

Guess I’m getting my wish.

Brooklyn DMV

Welcome

Went on various errands with my daughter in my latest NYC visit. This visit was particularly enlightening and informative.

Much thought went into this spot so let’s..

All the documents with someone to assist in your selection.
The line is long but goes fast.
The waiting room with comfortable seats
Anyone need a pen?
And more helpful hints..
And friendly staff

What a pleasant experience!

City Hall

New York’s City Hall

Built in 1802 on lands of the Lenape people this federalist structure is indeed a work of art. Its design rose from a competition where Joseph Francois Mangin, a French emigre, and John Mc Comb, Jr., a New Yorker won the $350 prize in the competition design of the Hall. It is one of the finest architectural achievements of the period according to the self guided tour pamphlet.

George Washington

As you walk into the building you are greeted by George Washington. He stands near the building’s beautiful rotunda.

I was overwhelmed by the history of the Hall and priceless paintings of Governors, mayors, and other statesmen.

Governor Seward who worked in Lincoln’s cabinet, was a NYS governor, and held a myriad of other prominent positions.
Henry Clay
President James Monroe

But what really struck me were the crystal chandeliers..

Magnificent!

More.,
Gracious

Views from the ladies room window

Grounds outside
Lovely

More historical pieces..

Another busy of GW
And it still works!
Hearing Room

What a majestic place!

The Roommate

What a combo β€” two dear friends for decades in a play concerning female friendship. Saw Patty in the recent production of Company and Mia decades ago in Love Letters with the now deceased Brian Dennehey

The Stage

Tickets 🎟️ were reasonable from Broadway Direct and the show began at 1 pm. What a win πŸ† win πŸ₯‡.

It all takes place in an Iowa kitchen

What a funny show!

Has a limited engagement but who knows maybe it will go on the road.

Curtain call

Hudson Theater

Next play was a humorous remake with Sutton Foster as lead. Hadn’t seen her since the Music Man with Hugh Jackman where she was Marion the librarian, and he the traveling salesman. Here they fell in love in real life leaving spouses of decades and starting a new life together.

❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

Think it all started when they exchanged the Covid virus.🦠

But back to the play….

What a fun romp through song and dance.

It is sure to delight all ages!

The Cast

Sunset Boulevard

A Tony is waiting for this gal who was Norma in this play.

Am told this gal started in a girls pop band. Well she certainly proved her acting chops in this amazing performance.

The remake is creative and fascinating with movies πŸŽ₯ going on as the actors perform. And the actors even go back stage and onto the street at one point.

A must see.

Here are some of the other actors..

Boy Child love interest of Norma
Norma’s first husband and caregiver .
Woman in love with Norma’s man and he her.

All these items/characters come to an evil end, but with an Andrew Lloyd Weber score and phenomenal dance numbers nothing can go wrong.

Watch the Tony’s for the πŸ† awards to roll in on this one.

Crystal Cave Wurtsboro, N.Y

Since my trip to Banff, Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ have been interested more and more in the power of rocks. πŸͺ¨

Trekking up and down route 17 my attention has focused on a sign celebrating the health benefits of the Crystal Cave.

Lo and behold I found myself at this spot in a recent journey. It caught my eye as it was decorated for Halloween πŸŽƒ.

Can’t wait till the Christmas decorations

Then inside it had rocks of every ilk available for purchase..,

Even the bathroom was a delight.,

Not often do you find a loo with stained glass

But the best part was the basement where for $40 for 40 minutes you are surrounded by the essence of pink Himalayan salt. This is great for the skin and respiratory concerns as well as a myriad of other ailments.

The Salt Room
The loungers where you can sit or recline. You can also lay on the floor immersed in the salt. Amazing ..
Several other treatments

So if in the area check it out.. only 2 hours from NYC..

Crystal Connection

Surreal

In NYC today to see a few plays and visit my daughter to give her belated birthday πŸŽ‚ wishes. As I walk through the streets I am numb still trying to piece together the events of the previous night.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

I still haven’t slept but am sure there are many of us who haven’t replaying this 🎭.

So rather than replaying will replace these thoughts with the reality of City πŸ™οΈ life.

NyFd having a drill on 9th Ave
What would a drill be without medics?

And my fav πŸ•

Homeless Guy

He tried to get $ off me but I told him to get a job. He f’d me all the way down the street. I screamed back and felt good to get that anger out.
