It’s A Meadow..

Almost there with the water 💧 connection

The water tanks have been installed and paid for. My next concerned is what to do with a barren backyard. Recently went to a class on Meadows. Here I found myself intrigued and will be building a meadow in the backyard. This is an eco-friendly method to attract birds and butterflies.

Straw over rye grass seed

Yesterday I applied 75 pounds of winter rye grass seed to the lot and this morning, after working, I purchased and placed straw on top of my seed. Will keep you posted.

You never know what the senior years bring.

Maybe there’s a cabin in your future?

Peace, Love, and Pumpkins

Went to this on the grounds of Bethel where the Woodstock Music Festival was held. Since I volunteer here periodically I was given a free 🎟️, otherwise admission is $30. adult, a little pricey but let’s take a peek..

Here’s some of the fun 🎃

Colimcille

Today drove to the always fascinating Columcille Megalith Park. This area is obviously the rapist president’s land.

What a phenomal visit on a cool, autumn day.

It was spiritual and inspiring giving time for meditation and contemplation.

What I didn’t understand and actually scared me was the plethora of signs devoted to this man.

In fact one sign even applauded the rapists legal problems stating how he survived his various legal challenges.

And we all know what they are.

Guess these folks obviously have rocks in their head.

Welcome Wanda and Willie

Today I came home after a long shift to find my 2 new “children” buried, and being filled with 💦 water.

Prior to Burial
Meet Wanda and Willie

And to announce the completion of this 3 month project I sent the following announcement 📣 out to neighbors who have been inquiring and nervous for me as seasonal water ends in the next 10 days..

💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧

Welcome!  Your new neighbors, Wanda and Willie, my water tank children have finally arrived and are planted.  Their mother is reassured after a long and arduous journey/birth process.

The next endeavor will be a garage with structural feeds from rain and snow to maintain Wanda and Willie’s water levels.

Thanks to all for their guidance and tolerance in this process.

As my life long motto states…

“There is always a way.”

The Passing of Ethel Kennedy

Ethel Kennedy has passed at 96, from complications of a stroke. What a ride this woman had in her lifetime. Marrying into a political dynasty, she became the wife of a senator, Attorney General, and mother to 11 children, 34 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Following her husband’s assassination in 1968, she founded the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, a non-profit charity with a mission to establish a just and peaceful world. In 2014, Ethel was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.

May she rest in peace.

I Voted Today..

Of course I did this by mail, and you know who I voted for.

And while the most contentious item on the fl ballot was the abortion amendment it was listed on the last page of the amendments, back page, last item. Let’s hope people know enough to turn the page over. It was listed after important amendments regarding fishing concerns and not paying for the election campaigns of fl representatives. By the way –how it that legal????????? Oh, that’s right it’s fl.

Milton Worries/Cabin Concerns

As of 3 am looks like Sf. Augustine has bit the bullet, and while the City was forced to evacuate it seems only rain and wind has been a concern. Flooding will occur but one can live with that.

So, alas one less property to be concerned about.

If only it would sell.

On to the next worry, the cabin, where seasonal water will end shortly. While my construction guy promised he’ll have the job done today he hasn’t shown, or responded to my texts. And when I called, the call dropped. Perhaps he lost his phone, or maybe he’s just sick of me?

I am aware he has several projects going on at once, but this project began in August, wouldn’t you think he’d prioritize it and want it done?

Let’s hope he’s lost his phone.
