Confession

Did you hear maga mike was called today to the temple for a meeting of minds and confession for his sins??

And what is this about?

Election interference.

Well, the only folks who are interfering are them.

πŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈπŸ—³οΈ

Actually while the meeting agenda was stated to be election interference, however, it became an anointing with the rapist prez endorsing the maga mike pion.

?????????

Wonder what the idiot from Louisiana gave up for this endorsement?

Was it πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ aid?

Was it blocking immigration legislation?

Only time will tell.

Sad as this pion is such a fool as he needs to..

Look to history with the former speaker, maga mike will be thrown under the bus as well.

🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌

Marilyn Lands lands it.

Did you see how this woman flipped a red seat in Alabama cruising to victory with a 25 point lead?

🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒🚒

This happened Tuesday and more is to come.

As Joe has said repeatedly never underestimate women.

🌎🌍🌏🌍🌎🌎🌏

What shall we do next?

  • No more war
  • Money for childcare
  • Money for healthcare research
  • The list goes on and on..

Stay tuned…We’ll change the world for the better.

The craziness of the world 🌍 continues…

As I sit in front of the fireplace wrapped in an afghan I ponder what should I write ✍️ of after reading and hearing from the pundits of the day?

There is such a wealth of craziness out there.

Glorious

The world is getting crazier by the minute. Could this all be a bad dream 😴 and we will wake soon?

It has to be as why would anyone, especially women, vote for a rapist?

And why would people want someone in power who has told us he will destroy all we have, and have fought for, and worked so hard to achieve?

Perhaps the biggest question is why hasn’t someone killed him? This is the unspoken question which ruminates in all us sane people’s minds.

🀯🀯🀯🀯🀯🀯

I think I have the answer. We’re hoping, that is the sane ones, that the McDonald’s and KFC meals will give him the big one.

Caveat: Don’t call the FBI on me.

Return to Reality

Had a lovely bus ride on the Coachline from New York to Monticello. What a spectacular day, and visit to the Big 🍎.

Returned to the cabin finding most of my electrical work completed, however, more is required to keep the place code compliant and safe.

Seems like I’ve underestimated all which needs to be accomplished.

😩😩😫😫

Made calls to the carpenter, blow in insulation man, well driller, plumber, and building inspector. WHEW! At least I’m getting call backs. Just hope my pocketbook can keep up!

πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°

Look forward to seeing what the well man has to say as all is contingent on this.

?Maybe there is a book πŸ“š in all this or better yet a movie?

Have to write ✍️ Reese Witherspoon.

Final Day NYC Spring 2024

Started my day by picking up food to take home. 86th St. Brooklyn has a wealth of wonderful Chinese restaurants and baked goods. I bought a rolling bag to bring home the goodies.

And I did a preliminary pack today.
It’s all going to fit!

Here’s some places to check out, plus the 86th street bakery near 20th ave cross street, and the $10 pizza πŸ• place across from TD Bank. Enjoy.. You’ll be hunting for a scrolling bag, too.

Hint: They are at every store on 86th.

Great
πŸ• extraordinary
Amazing
Coconut Cream Buns – better than sex

Next was time for a haircut..

Great job!

While in the chair received a text that the buyer for the fl. condo backed out. Oh well..

But next call came from Rob, my cabin electrician, saying I have heated floors with propane, and a new propane hot water heater so guess that’s positive.

My next cabin lesson is in propane?.

πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦

Post haircut boarded the D train and on to the best Cuban sandwich in the world 🌎 on 46th street in Manhattan, Margone. Been around over 50 years. For $20 got a Cuban, a beer, and still had some $ toward a tip.

Yum
The Menu

On to Central Park after this feast to walk off the calories..

Spring is in bloom.
Everyone was out enjoying this glorious Spring day.
And some of our NYS Dutch Heritage.
Tulips were in bloom.
More color
Imagine

And the finale, the Alicia Keyes play,

Hell’s Kitchen.

A must see

While still in previews think they have it down. It is the story of a single mom raising her teenage daughter in the NYC projects. The music, dance, and story line is a phenomenal experience.

Hats off to Alicia Keys, our native New Yorker, who brought this to light.

She certainly has a winner on her hands and possibly a Tony!

XxxxxxxxxxxxxX

And this ends my Spring 2024 NYC Venture.

Hope you’ve enjoyed it vicariously with me.

Daffodils of Central Park.

Cinderella

The Musical

Started my day early as I was unsure of how to locate the Players Theater on Mac Dougal Street in the Washington Square area. After several navigation errors ended up early in the vicinity.

Had time to check out the nearby park.

Spring has arrived
Washington Square
🎢 in the park
New Yorkers love their dogs.
Daffodils

After my treat seeing the Park was off to the play. Quite an interesting marquise and box office..

Street View
The Box Office

Sat in front of Ella, the birthday girl, and 4 of her friends who loudly proclaimed when I sat,”Mom, an adult is blocking our view!” I moved but was returned to my aisle but another seat to accommodate the birthday girl. Ha! Ha! Guess I’m getting my indoctrination into grandmother hood.

Cinderella and her evil stepsisters

Happy Ending

Next Venture

Walked from 15th to 42nd St on this glorious spring NYC day. Found another bountiful park on the way with magnolia trees.

Breathtaking

Then stopped for an hour long foot massage.

What a sweet smile, but sadly spoke no English.
Great place, newly opened $35/ hour.

And on to the show..

Five, at the 555 West 42nd Theater, was a parody on the 3 wives and 2 other gals (Stormy and Ivana),in the rapist prez’s life. There also was a special appearance by Hillary.

The dancing and singing 🎡 was amazing but sadly the show will be closing 4/20. What a phenomenal ensemble cast, and only $43. for the seat..

The final destination for the day was Theater XIV, Queen of Hearts, a burlesque show.

Unbelievable

Photos

Starts Sweet
Gets wilder
And wilder
And wilder
Wow!
It’s like being at Moulin Rouge..

What a way to end a perfect day!

Have to get tickets for my daughter and son in law.

Busy Day

πŸŒ•πŸŒ–πŸŒ—πŸŒ˜πŸŒ’πŸŒ“

Kissed the β€œkids” goodbye as they headed north to catch the eclipse in the Central New York region. After that began my day heading for Times Square. Arrived early for my first event so took in several sites of the area.

Great cupcakes etc..
Carlo, understand he visits on weekends
H &M what a beautiful store
Loved the dress but $70., really?!
Local talent

From here it was off to the play which was,

Appropriate

Enjoyed the performance but only attended as wanted to see Corey Stoll, as I have adored his work in Billions, and House of Cards. The story line was about a dysfunctional family who are brought together after the demise of their last remaining parent. Was 2 1/2 hours long with reasonable tickets, but doubtful it will last long on Broadway, and my recommendation is to skip it.

Next to the car πŸš— show..

Location of the show
Great venue for this event

Really enjoyed this, and it can only be expressed visually. Following are some pics, and probably too many unless you are a car enthusiast. No longer do scantily clad sexy gals lay on the cars, so that was promising.

πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—πŸš—

There was much emphasis on EVs and you know my lament with those creatures. And several recruiters were present at the show from NYS Corrections/State. Police, NYPD, as well as the Fire Department, and even the Marines. The numbers applying are dropping dramatically for these positions. We need immigrants to fill jobs..

The pictures

Recruiters
The Marines
Antique Buses and Electric Buses were on display.
An electric street cleaner
More antique beauties
And some new ev’s.. Asked cost but officers unaware.
New EV that gets 480 miles per charge, encouraging..
And for a laugh

From 35th and 11th Ave walked 2 miles to my next event, the 9pm performance of Titanique which was a recommendation of my son in law.

Since I have never seen Titanic, yes I am the only one in the world, I didn’t get much from this parody, however, the cast was stellar. It was a hilarious romp which caused most of the millennials and generation X present in the audience to howl with laughter. Have noted more and more of the 20 to 40 age range taking in theater, and believe this a good sign.

XoxoxoXoxoxo

Want to close with this lovely cherry blossom pic from Union Square this evening.

See you tomorrow..

Suffs

Great story with beautiful music.

Attended Suffs, the story of the suffragette movement co-produced by Hillary Clinton. It was a packed house at Music Box Theater and a riveting 2 1/2 hour performance of phenomenal acting and 🎡 singing. The play has been extended if you are in the area.

Got my tickets through the Today Tix AP for the bargain price of $77. No compensation received, but check it out as it has fair pricing, and even discloses fees that are included in the ticket price.

We were in the last row balcony and the view. β€” shall we say priceless.🌸

Me and Jeanie in our hats.

Saw Hillary on Fallon promoting the show and she brought him a πŸ‘’ as the suffragettes were known for them. Thought this was an audience thing so made 2 for my daughter and I to wear. Well, we were the only ones in the theater wearing hats but she was a sport and wore it through the show. 😍

She knows what a crazy mother she has!

πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅

Learned much of the movement’s history from the play. Didn’t realize how much President Woodrow Wilson blocked the women’s movement. He even had the suffragettes jailed.

πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€

It also told of the differences in the movement between the conservative and radical gals as well as how black women were de marginalized. An honest portrayal.

πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅πŸͺ΅

But back to Woody, interesting fact,,, he acquired the Spanish Flu and was incapacitated the last year(s) of his presidency. He had a stroke as well as other sequelae. His wife, Edith, refused to have anyone see him. She ran the country, and when World 🌎 War I, ended they contacted her first to report this πŸ†• news.

Not like our Joe whose favorite line is,

β€œNever underestimate the power of a woman.”

Thanks to all those women who devoted their lives to this movement.

Let’s honor their memories, and not vote for a rapist who bars female health care.

On my way

to Brooklyn to see my daughter and enjoy several plays. Started the day at 415 waking for the 605 bus to NYC. I noted it was snowing 🌨️ gently as I refilled the kerosene heater on the porch. Can’t fill the heater inside in case of spill as the smell πŸ‘ƒ strong.

Cabin 101 lesson.

This and several other things were shared by my electrician, Rob, who loaned me the item. He will arrive Monday for the cabin’s electrical overhaul, and the carpenter is beginning closet construction today, with new windows due in 3 weeks!

We’re moving along.

The stars ⭐️ are in alignment.

Yeratel

I’ve named the cabin Yeratel for the guardian angel of my birth day.

Fun fact: We all have guardian angels according to our birth day. Find your angel.

Back to the trip..

Route 17 to New York City

Took the Coach USA line out of Monticello Short Line Station πŸš‰ with a chipper driver. Don’t you just love friendly morning people! Well, I do. 🌞

The ride was a quick 2 hours for only $60 round trip, senior rate. Got to see several small towns during the drive, and grateful to leave the drive to someone else

Next adventure- evening performance of Suffs, the play co-produced by Hillary Clinton about the suffragette movement.

A mother daughter event.

Stay tuned.

Good Morning

Last night heard much noise around the cabin. Since I couldn’t see out the windows decided to lock the doors and hunker down. I quickly fell back to sleep πŸ’€ .

And look what I found as I opened the bedroom drapes.

This isn’t a delayed April Fools joke!

So excited I walked around the cabin for more pictures. Enjoy..

I feel like I’m in Switzerland
The Backyard
Diana
Gina got covered as well.

And guess I had some visitors.

Bear Tracks
Deer Tracks

Good day to sit by the fire.

Feels great πŸ‘

and do a little sewing with a cup of tea,

and read a good book..

960 pages – think I’ll need a renewal on this one.

Enjoy your day as I will as well.
