I Love NPR – Please Pledge..

I think if you’ve read anything I’ve written by now you know I am a news junkie. Like governor ron I have no friends, however, he has a spouse so he has one up on me. Am glad for that as would face retribution had he not had this one upmanship. Look at what he’s done to Mickey, and I write these words in fear. Probably I’ll get a sheriff citation for something next week if he catches this blog. As much as I abhor lack of effective, progressive representation the $550. a year condo taxes are manageable till I take Social Security at 70, or my political blogging takes off.

One can dream. I did meet Jon Batiste in person – what an amazing individual, so maybe will meet his friend Stephen someday. It’s on the Bucket List.

Back to ron…

I learned of this friendless fact on a plane ride from the EU in May. Sitting beside a young man with several degrees, I received a class – ron 101. Was surprised to hear the ron man is an Ivy League grad, his colleges of which I refuse to name, (Yale and Harvard – oops!), must be wishing they could retract his degrees. Since I don’t want my taxes to double, or the sheriff to jail me will stop at that, however, this was an eye-opening conversation or shall I say eye-closing conversation.

God, please deprogram florida from the republican brainwash..

And as to the young man from the plane, you never know who you’ll meet in economy.

Again, I digress..

While I love NPR it can be downright depressing. All that is going on in the world makes one needing to increase the Prozac, or as they say in florida – it’s got to be 5 o’clock somewhere.. However, one thing that brightened my day was Rosalind and Jimmie Carter at 98, riding in the Plains Peanut Parade this weekend. My God, you can’t kill those two! I say this in jest as this man has survived melanomas, falls, brain cancers, and has been on Hospice Care for 6 months. This month it was announced Rosalind has Alzheimer’s.

As our oldest living Presidential couple they are indestructible. And while their Presidency was overshadowed by the Iranian crisis, their Post-Presidential time has accolades miles long.

If you ever want to go someplace fascinating visit Plains, GA.

Check out the website regarding the Peanut Parade visit:

I think all former President’s should keep themselves busy, except for the problem child, #45.

But then again his number is almost up as he’s already been assigned P01135809.

Unlike Jimmie Carter, wonder what he’ll do in Georgia for his Post Presidential time?

Don’t think it will be riding in the Peanut Parade.

That’s right, he’ll be singing in the january 6th choir.
