This blog isn’t funny, but needs to be said.

As I reflect on the New York State public education system, I am proud. It provided me with an education which has supported me throughout my life, and gave me the abilities to make wise decisions.

Thank you, Mr. Marhafer, from Colonie Central High School Creative Writing, wherever you are.

I have finally found success, and happiness.

I am particularly proud to acknowledge two brilliant fighters who have rose from the New York State education system…

Jack Smith. State University of Oneonta

Hakeem Jeffries. State University of Binghamton, and gosh he must be special as spellcheck even corrected my misspelling of his name.

Maybe some day they’ll do that for me and remember the “l” so I won’t loose all those on line orders.😆

I digress… but with education becoming more privatized parents are selecting bible verses over objective knowledge and banning books.

How christian is that?

And..

This only breeds contempt for others, and increased ignorance.

However, while kids are facing these parental handcuffs they are in their closets reading these banned books and learning what they will need in their new world.

I believe our constitution is built on a separation of state and church, however, that seems to have been forgotten.

Many hard questions, no easy answers..

And the parents who are dictating education of banning books are the same ones who read them in their childhood closets.
