Today was to be a day of quiet reflection, according to the church, but since I am no longer a practicing catholic had none of that as there is work to be done! And believe me had many mentions of Jesus as I toiled cleaning up the cabin. He’s awakened on this day, and happy to depart for Heaven after seeing what I have ahead of me! More levity…

Started the day in conversation with my daughter and texts from a friend, yes I have one of those. Decided to donate the beds from one room and several other things. Since there is no Donation Pickup Please, or the like in this area used Craig’s List free stuff placing items on the lawn. Also cleaned out under the cabin and found a treasure trove of 50 years of stuff/junk.

Luckily the local volunteer fire department is collecting metal so much was donated. The rest of the piles have no clue how to dispose of, but my new mantra…

Paid him for several structural item repairs. Our next venture is the bedroom closet followed by a window discussion, with the ultimate path being a winterized room to live here permanently, year round..

I shuttered when he relayed he was having knee surgery in the fall but lightened when he said he has a 19 year old son! Am sure he’s a strapping fella like Chris. His son was marine bound till the contract offered was for 6 years so he declined and is pondering his next step. Once again fingers crossed 🤞 this young buck doesn’t decide till post cabin winterization is completed. 🙏

Also heard from my electrician and he’ll be visiting on Monday to pick up a check for parts and will be starting the project Friday,

Found Dollar Tree, Walmart, and ALDIs, So this is a great day. What makes it even better is that $ Tree and ALDIs are next door to each other!!!! This is a dream come true — one stop shopping. If only Ross was here I’d know I died and went to heaven!

Needless to say much retail damage done, but love ❤️ my new stores.
