As l see the students revolting against the US policy in the Middle East I applaud them.

When I visited the Middle East in 2016 I was appalled by the treatment of Palestinians. When I inquired of our Jewish tour guide I was rebuffed and my questions ignored by her.

After mass at one site there were 25 young adults outside the church all with heavy artillery on their shoulders.

This was to be a vacation???

The Palestinians were obviously treated like s-it and I wondered what did they do?

One morning I did an early morning walk in an Israeli town and the Orthodox Jews walked among me making no eye contact with their noses in the air. It was obvious in their demeanor they felt superior to all around them or don’t so it appeared .

It was a disconcerting observation. Then I was told Jews do not participate in the military while all others are mandated to serve.

So all this said, I applaud the students revolting. It is their world, and it is time to stand up for the Palestinians.

It’s time for a two state solution, and time to stop killing Palestinians.
