Been working nonstop on the cabin. Today painted the doors to the skirting of the cabin.
And tomorrow am expecting the paint for the cement board. Have decided to paint as masonry work can run 10 grand or more. Want to spend my money 💵 on insulation rather than decoration.
After this will be doing board insulation to some of the outer walls and putting paneling in one of the bedrooms. In the meantime the cabin is a bit of a mess..,
Bathroom
The handyman who installed the bathroom floor went AWOL. Glad only the trim on the floor wasn’t done. He wanted to do the shower over – can you imagine if he skipped without completing that? I’d have to dry clean myself.🤣🤭😆🤭🤣🤭🤣🤭😆🤭🤣
Finished the ceiling in the living room area. Am pleased with the outcome.. The plastic cardboard painted well. Used duct tape in lieu of wood to save and make a beam look, I’m pleased.
Used R 19 in this ceiling as it was the only insulation roll that fit, but doing R 21 blown in under floors and to skirting walls.
The contractor says I’ll be toasty.

So that’s the cabin update. Wish Florida had better news but am changing realtors and flying down to stage and perk up the place.
Am hopeful my daughter can come to help but she’s been busily putting out 25 resumes a day.
