Working with contractors has been quite a lesson for this gal who isnβt particularly fond of men. Iβm not a lesbian, but men are certainly challenging, and definitely work differently than women.
Women want to get it done.

And this last guy has really challenged my patience.

Itβs been over a month since the logs from the tree removal task have laid/lay on my property. And it wouldnβt bother me, it is attracting a lot of attention from neighbors and passer byes. When youβre a single gal up in the wilderness, you donβt want that kind of attention.

Today my contractor told me he was coming and of course he didnβt show. Iβm glad Iβve held out five grand as I wonder if heβs actually going to come through.

While I am hopeful, I still wonder?

You always find out about a contractor too late. Especially if youβre the new girl in town.

Today I got a quote from a contractor which is $4000 less than someone Iβve had do much work on the cabin. Now I know I was overcharged on multiple items but lesson learned and itβs done. βοΈ. Also the overcharger came when he said he was coming, and while that doesnβt enrich the bottom line, it means something.

The new guy also gave me some insight into my septic/ well system. So with these new insights will proceed. Even though it is August, and a little late in the season maybe something can be done?

My last possibility is igetting a hole in the backyard then placing a shed over it.
Need I say more?
According to Auntie Google NYS has no regulations on outhouses. One thing they havenβt thought of yetβ¦π¬ππ―οΈπ¬π
Please donβt let them know.

So will be having the window guy install the cabin porch windows, and with the $4000 extra maybe that will pay for a septic system?
One can dream.
