Joe got caught with documents in his locked garage and at his Center. Oh, boy what a snafu.. While as soon as these were found they were immediately turned over and a review of all documents in his possession completed which found those extras the republicans had a field day with this. Was grateful Garland appointed a special counsel as maybe from this a better accounting system was be developed for these documents and this could be something legislated. Our country’s national security is at stake with these items floating about and better measures are needed for their security.
Glad the documents were in the locked garage with Joe’s red corvette – wonder if they were in the trunk?
This is the new prime time hit on Fox according to Yahoo News and runs daily from 5 pm to 7 pm. This is sad for our country as they continue to spread hate and deception. What is even sadder is the number of people who follow this. Needless to say I won’t be tuning in as who needs more lies and angst in their news life to screw with their head?. As they used to say in Dragnet,
“Just the facts, ma’ma,”
and Fox News isn’t where to go for that.
Here’s the listing of the offenders:
Greg Gutfeld
Dana Perino,
Jesse Watters,
Jeanine Pirro
and rotating hosts Jessica Tarlov, Geraldo Rivera and Harold Ford Jr.
As of this writing I will be on the road heading North. Have accepted a travel nurse assignment in the Syracuse area. While most scratch their heads I am anxious to get back to work. Lost a year with my misdiagnosis and raring to go. When I was working in the New York City the staff would laugh at me as I said I wanted to retire and drop dead the next day.
The trek is almost 1000 miles and with the EV will stop every 100 miles. Am hopeful there will be an abundance of fast charging stations.
While I lived in the Syracuse area, it seems in another life – some 40 years ago – . There appears to be many new things to do and see in the area, so stay tuned.
Have found the Leaf to be very computerized with many AP connections to get rolling. As a computer nincompoop it has been a learning curve with Apple Play to access Google Maps, Blue Tooth, Siri, and then there is the charging. Thought I was purchasing a car with 260 miles charging capacity, however, after purchasing the vehicle found 212 miles was the capacity. Those 50 miles make a difference especially when there are few charging stations in your area.
The sales person stated not to let the charge go to zero which I learned why last night. When coming back from the delightful Ukrainian Ballet performance of Sleeping Beauty I discovered my charge was at 45%,, however, it quickly faded. Thinking there was a charging station nearby, and unable to get Blue Tooth functional, my search for charging stations produced none within my range. While driving to a gas station where I thought I had seen chargers 2 deer leaped in front of the vehicle. Thinking I was in the clear I slowed and swerved only to hear, “ker plunk,” on the side of the car. There was a third deer, and while I wanted to stop was unable as now the charge was for 15 miles.
Made it to the gas station in 8 miles only to find they had no chargers. What I had seen from the road resembling chargers up close were cones. Yuck! Quickly changing course I ventured to the Nissan dealership where I knew a charger was available. Upon making it to Nissan with barely a wisp of electrons left I saw locked gates. Had to navigate between cars parked in front of the gates and between vehicles to make the charging station cords reach the car. This was 6:40 pm, and found upon turning on the charger I had to stay till 3 a.m. for a full charge. Considered leaving the car and getting a Lyft but between texting, answering emails, phone calling my daughter for wedding plans update, journaling on some stashed stationery in the car, and doing the rosary – all 4 decades – the time passed to 11:30 pm when I found the car charged to 71%. WHEW!
This morning I returned to the dealership and trusty Steve gave further insights and review into using the car. Think one needs a degree in computer science to operate a new vehicle now days. What patience this man has.
While stuck Sunday evening left a message with my loyal electric company, All Star Electric, of St. Augustine. After the receptionist received my call she spoke with Todd, the owner, and he has rearranged his schedule to accommodate me. He and hise son, Tristin, will be here Wednesday morning to install the plug from the stove outlet. Another WHEW! How I love this company, and if in St. Augustine needing electric service give them a jingle. I know they don’t need the work, but better folks you’ll never meet. They are RELIABLE, a word a single woman with home ownership needs.
So, final update… Drum roll….. The deer, God rest her or his soul did $180 worth of damage to the back of the car. The bumper needs to be removed and some under panel restored with another plastic piece. My third WHEW! of this article. And wouldn’t you know it the body place is on the same road as the deer misadventure last night. No remnants of deer debris, or the like were seen so perhaps Bambi made it?!
I am now seeking a portable electronic car charging device.
Looks like more Hail Marys are needed for this but Mary has never let me down.
This Ballet Company passed through Jacksonville on their American tour. The National Orchestra of the Ukraine is also due in the area shortly. It was a remarkable performance with the costumes elegant and radiant. As WordPress is not letting me upload my pictures of the performance defer to the following web site from their performance at Flagler College for even a grander display.
The January 6th Committee referred 4 congressmen to the House Ethics Committee for their refusal to testify at the Committee hearings. Sources say that these individuals met at a local Washington D.C. hotel as the proud boys in military garb guarded the hotel perimeter. It is stated further that in this hotel room the activities of the January 6th riot was planned.
While these individuals have been referred to house ethics for scrutiny it is doubtful they will receive their due. This is now a GOP led chamber and one referred is the house speaker.
Here are the names, I do not capitalize as have no respect for these individuals:
kevin mc carthy
andy biggs
scott perry
jim jordan
And there are many more who met in this hotel room, however, they were not called to testify at the January 6th Committee hearings.
The Presidential Citizenship Medal was given to 12 living Americans and 2 posthumous, who gave exemplary service to our Country on January 6, 2021. These individuals were law enforcement and state and local officials who defended the U.S. Capitol and upheld the integrity of the 2020 election. They are:
Jocelyn Benson, the former Michigan secretary of state who faced armed protesters outside her home as she was pressured by those seeking to overturn the 2020 election results.
Rusty Bowers, the former Arizona House speaker who resisted pressure from people hoping to overturn the election.
Harry Dunn, a Capitol Police officer who faced harassment from rioters. He has served on the force for nearly 15 years.
Caroline Edwards, a law enforcement officer who suffered a brain injury as a result of rioters’ actions on Jan. 6, 2021.
Michael Fanone, a now-retired Metropolitan Police Department officer who was injured in the attack.
Ruby Freeman, who worked as an election worker in Fulton County, Georgia, and faced threats for doing her job.
Aquilino Gonell, a Capitol Police sergeant who was injured defending the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Eugene Goodman, a Capitol Police officer who diverted rioters from the Senate floor so members could evacuate.
Daniel Hodges, a Metropolitan Police Department Officer injured during the attack. Jan. 6, 2021 was his first time ever in the Capitol.
Shaye Moss, an election worker in Fulton County, Georgia, during the 2020 election. Ruby Freeman is her mother.
Al Schmidt, a former federal civil servant who served as a city commissioner on the Philadelphia County Board of Elections. During the 2020 election, he kept the vote tally going in the face of pressure and efforts to overturn the election.
Brian Sicknick, a Capitol police officer who defended the Capitol. He died the next day.
Howard C. Liebengood, U.S. Capitol Police (posthumous)
Jeffrey L. Smith, D.C. Metropolitan Police (posthumous)
There also was a ceremony on the steps of the Capitol to acknowledge this event and honor all who served on this day to protect our Democracy, civil servants, and the Capitol building, our shrine of Democracy. A speech of gratitude was given by Nancy Pelosi, former speaker of the house. In her comments she stated the courage of these individuals brought luster to the medal. While attended by the bulk of the members of the Democratic Party only one representative from the republicans attended, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania. What disrespect for those who gave their lives and risked their lives to protect these individuals.

Thus far 700 who participated in the January 6th storming of the Capitol have been arrested in 2021, with 200 in 2022. There is upwards of 3,000 who participated, inclusive of a neurosurgeon, an NFL player, and a funereal director. There is a community of on line investigators known as the “Sedition Hunters,” who have been responsible for identifying and locating these individuals.
Currently there is a book written by the Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund –
Courage Under Fire: Under Siege and Outnumbered 58:1
Believe the ratio in his title says it all. It is said to be a stunning account of one of the darkest days in American history.
Let me end by paraphrasing* from one of the interviews where these heroic Americans were lauded…
They held the line that day, and on the line was democracy.
*Was unable to capture the name of the individual I have quoted from the interview
Also, am remiss in this untimely acknowledgement. As an American who has traveled the world I understand and appreciate all we have in our Country, and send out an enormous gratitude to these individuals who protected us on January 6, 2021.
Wish this title reflected a discussion about dishes, but we all know what this is about. Once again china is lying about covid cases and numbers. They went from total lockdown to a historical number of cases, to the following day stating they have had 25 cases of deaths from covid as of the beginning of December. At least with the current outbreak it keeps jinping busy from thoughts of waring with Taiwan. Maybe this virus could infiltrate their military and russia’s as well? Only in dreams but a real possibility.
It certainly would make life easier for Democracy.
China has a 40% vaccination rate, and those vaccinated are mainly elderly, however, who knows?? The efficacy of their vaccines are questionable. Good the US has reinstituted mandatory testing on those traveling from China.
That’s the end of the good news for today. HA! HA!
And for those who haven’t received the newest booster for this culprit, please do, and a flu shot as well.
After purchasing my EV received a “free” gift of $100 to charge the vehicle at EVgo, which their web site touts as the nation’s fastest charging network. While not usually a skeptic have become one since my last data breach when I was searching for a butter nut squash soup recipe. Whatever the soup cost it was another $145 to clean the computer and I was grateful to only have that concern.
Am still getting cogent emails from blue chip companies with crazed email addresses. While no longer receiving erectile dysfunction emails, am now getting toenail fungus ones. Guess they got wind of my age, and now realize I have different health concerns.
I digress… Decided to look at EVgo’s privacy concerns and this is what I found. This is straight from their email.

You might as well strip naked for the $100., because if you take the deal you’ve sold your soul and identity.
Word to the wise – start reading these things, I am.
Purchased the Nissan Leaf this week. This is the electronic vehicle which allows a $7500. federal rebate, and the home connection, which in my case is another $750., reimbursed. Car price was similar to a fuel charged vehicle with minimal upgrades, and “she” gets 260 miles to a charge. Am told charges can take a half hour to an hour, and will learn how to access those sites via a cell phone AP.
Since I believe in the climate change science been considering this purchase for 2 years. When “Joe,” gave the incentive decided it was time. Interesting enough had learned of the Leaf while on a ferry crossing a fjord in Norway. While Norwegians have acquired most of their wealth from the glut of oil in the Black Sea they are one of the most progressive green countries on the planet. This man currently had 2 electric vehicles, (EVs), and offered positive information about the Leaf.
There was no increase in insurance cost, and am told that recharge prices are nominal with some free? Was quoted $5.00 for “fill up,” meaning recharge, and shall see. Though I wasn’t a fan of the black color it grew on me. Interesting fact… most cars purchased are either white or black according to the salesman. The dealership received 2 EV’s in the last 6 months, and they were unsure what inventory would be received for the remainder of 2023.
